"This jacquard knitted vest from Chinese fashion label Pronounce’s spring 2021 collection interprets demonstrates how the brand’s duo Yushan Li and Jun Zhou cleverly blends Tibetan culture into modern menswear designer. The two took a trip to Lhasa, the capital of the Tibetan plateau last year. The region’s ropes, pleats, and expressions gave them a new perspective on developing a contemporary language rooted in Chinese culture. The vest’s sandy tone resembles the area’s unique landscape, while the dual koi fish head robes motifs serve as a nod to the brand’s logo, a Mobius strip, symbolising the brand’s infinite creative possibility." - Tianwei Zhang
