Collection: JOHANNA PARV

Johana Parv was selected by Stavros Karelis as part of MACHINE-A's Graduate Project for 2021.

Honing in on her personal relationship with the city, Parv aims to change the way in which the female body and the concept of power are both represented and perceived. Her aim is to create uniquely designed pieces for the active urban woman that are elegant but functional, to trigger emotion and juxtapose ideas.

Drawing inspiration from cyclists in the city and a streamlined aesthetic, Parv searches for ways to create clothing adaptive to active situations, combining sensitive manners using couture and tailoring techniques with the performance of sportswear to create ergonomically and long-lasting products.
