Mugler creates fetishistic fashions with precision cuts and otherworldly silhouettes. Mugler at MACHINE-A collates a selection of the label's era-defining clothes.
French fashion designer, Thierry Mulger, launched his eponymous brand in 1973, and soon became known for showmanship and iconic creations.
The label's last collection was full of the late creator's design trademarks; broad shoulders, sharp lines and second-skin materials. Mugler retired from fashion in 2002, but made a return to create Kim Kardashian's wet-look dress for the MET ball, and his theatrical Venus dress continues to inspire decades on.
This season sees the architectural shapes and science fiction inspirations that this iconic house is known for, in modern fabrications.
